The pop-up will resemble a freezer compartment with familiar frozen foods in innovative ways to help reduce food waste, keep virtually ‘parked’ items fresher for longer and help maximize space – all while offering free food.

A new concept freezer store that will show London customers how to freeze unexpected foods, prevent surplus food from going to waste and help people save money.

Running in London Boxpark, ShoreditchOn 27-28 September, the first immersive installation of its kind looks like a regular Sainsbury store from the outside; But once inside, visitors will be greeted with frozen groceries that they usually buy fresh. Upon entering, customers will be greeted with shelves stacked with fruits, vegetables, dairy, meat, fish, and baked goods – but everything will be frozen, and handed out for free.
